The Story
I was scheduled to be induced on Thursday, 6/20. Having gone through the induction process with my daughter during my first pregnancy, I really was hoping for a natural birth this time around. I remember going with my sister to Skipolini's for her first pregnancy and her water broke that night after eating the infamous prego pizza. I figured, why not give it a try and I LOVE the pizza anyway. We arrived on Saturday, 6/15/13 in the afternoon. Our waiters were awesome and all wished us good luck. I ate 2 slices of pizza and some yummy salad. That night, I ate another slice of leftover pizza around midnight. I didn't feel anything and was a little discouraged. Well, by 6am the next morning, I awoke to find myself feeling kind of strange. A few hours later getting ready for Father's Day brunch, I realized I was in active labor with the contractions about 8 minutes apart. Needless to say, we had to skip brunch. I checked in to the hospital at 11am and my sweet bundle of joy arrived at 6:22pm on Father's Day. Best present ever! All I can say is - THANK YOU SKIPOLINI'S. The prego pizza lives up to its name. Not only that, it's damn good pizza that I can't wait to go back for. It worked, it worked!!!
